Weird things Nathan said

When mommy talking shower: mommy go Hong Kong already. 15 min later: she come back already.

Dog eat daddy car! Daddy car spoil already!

Sun go buy food for moon, so no more sun. If not moon get sick how?

Looking at mommy diamond ring: what color is that? Very nice I want to buy this for mommy...

The two of them got hand foot and mouth disease

For Nathan this is the 2nd time he got HFMD. The first time is really horrible, he was in great pain. This time round he don't have fever only a few bister we almost didn't think he got it until.... When Silas having blister all over the hands, foot and mouth as well we neck And body!

To make things worst Daddy was sick for 2 days as well.

Recovered! Home turn noisy again

Silas recovered now, and he is a happy baby again! It was really heart pain to see the kids down with illness.

Thanks God that he recover fast and didn't have any fever. Now my house is noisy again, full of laughter and scramming. Both the kids are back to their huge appetite. And I have less stess now :)

Sous vide beef. Really easy

I tried making Sous vide beef using the rice cooker. It is really easy, so easy that I almost forgot about it!

So what is 'Sous vide'? is a method of cooking food sealed in airtight plastic bags in a water bath for a long time. I brought a small bag of beef that is already sealed in airtight plastic bag, and i did check with the staff in the supermarket if the bag can take 80C of heat.


As i don't have the equipment for resealing the plastic bags, i can't really add any seasoning before cooking but that would really make a different.


The result, the meat turn out looking raw, but is not bloody. I slide them up added some seasoning but it will have been tasting much better if those are added before the sous vide process.

Crazy day first day of working from home

First day of working from home is madness,
Nathan ask for lot of attention so is Silas.


While i tried to concentrate on my work, Nathan make a big mess with play dough, after all the clean up.
I let them watch DVD, Nathan bully baby, then i site there so they don't flight. In a min Nathan fall down from the sofa land right on his head, just as i am telling him to be careful.

then we have a little break, a little coz it only as just more then an hour, when they  nap.
In the afternoon, spend sometime with Nathan by making cookies with him. He is scared by the mixer, when we finally done and i need to get on work call. he finish all the cookies i put in the box. OK then we went out for something, he ask for 'super lemon' from a friend we are with and he refuse to spit it out, seem to be enjoying how sour it is.

Finally at night we realize that we are running out of paper and need to go out for it, we decided to drop Nathan at my mom's place so we can do some real work the next morning. 

Mommy work from home plan!

Nathan school will be close for 2 weeks due to a number of HFMD cases. So I will need to work from home, I intend to put his desk and chair beside mine while I work, I will be also planning some activity for him.

My plan go like this:
Wake up at 7 have breakfast, Have a 15 min piano lesson with Nathan. Then we head to work in study at about 8 am. While I am working Nathan will be playing Lego 30 min, drawing/ colouring 30 min, puzzle 20 min.
Watch DVD for another 20 min with some break in between it should last til 11pm.

Play Nathan and Silas together while the maid cook. Both of them have lunch then nap time. During theirs nap I can head to gym for a while and continues working till about 3:30.

Nathan will have snack and we can make some cookies together when baby Silas watch us. While maid get our dinner ready.

If I need more time then they can watch another 20 min of DVD. Daddy should be back before 7. Any unfinished work will need to continues after 9 when they are soundly sleeping.

Let hope it work.
